The Fimiston underground project commenced in June 2023 from the Golden Pike and Fimiston North drill drives developed in 2021 by NSMS off the northwest wall of the KCGM Super Pit. The initial focus will be on extending the Golden Pike decline drill platforms and converting the existing Fimiston North drill platform to bulk orebody sampling, along with further drill platforms, in preparation for future production. The intention is for it to become a long life major production centre operating in conjunction with MTC and the Super Pit.
