Apprenticeships

The NSMS Apprenticeship Program is a prime opportunity for motivated and trade passionate individuals to begin a career in mining. The four-year program is nationally recognised. Led by our experienced mentors, you’ll enjoy on-site support to guide you through your apprenticeship journey.

Trade disciplines at NSMS:
  • Auto Electrician
  • Electrician
  • Heavy Diesel Fitter
  • Light Vehicle Fitter
Desired attributes for an Apprentice:
  • Be 18 years or older to work in an underground workshop.
  • Minimum completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
  • Current manual “C” class Western Australia License.
  • Pre-apprenticeship or similar.
  • Genuine passion and interest in the Apprenticeship you are applying for.
  • Be self-motivated and consistently aim to deliver quality outcomes.
